I need advice to choose a career. I have completed my BBM with a marketing specialization. Now, I am confused about whether to pursue HR because I have always wanted to specialize in that field but did not have HR specialization during my BBM course. I have completed an internship at a digital marketing company. Should I look for a job in HR or DM? Please suggest and help me. I'm confused.

Most youngsters get confused these days only after completing their courses! You should have conducted a proper analysis of the job market and career opportunities before choosing BBM with Marketing. If the HR stream was not available at the time of admission, you could have chosen another institution. These days, there are hundreds of colleges and universities in India. They say, "Don't change horses mid-stream!"
After graduating with a marketing specialization, you are now in a dilemma about whether to search for a job in HR. Who will give a fresher a job in HR without even qualifying for it? If you are keen on the HR domain, search for a job and convince the employer about your interest. Read some books on HR and get your fundamentals right. You can pursue a proper MBA with an HR specialization later on, as you desire.

HR Management or Generalist is a complex service orientation that involves not only talent acquisition and development but also serves as a vital cornerstone of the organization/company. It caters to manpower cost budget and value constraints in the moving workforce operation to achieve the company's profitable business cycle. The traditional practices of HR Management are just in the corner of hiring and development; corporates barely practice the ownership responsibility, and some are overlapping the scope of work.
The former advice to take a job first is actually a good move. However, if you are still young, try to acquire your desired educational attainment because when you are in the profession and have a family, it would be hard to go back to the times you opted to have.
