Hi All, please help me out of my current situation. For the past 4 years, I have been working with an organization. I had a 2-month notice period, but for the past 1.6 years, I have been frustrated with my working environment. Due to being a victim of office politics, I decided to leave the organization. I served only a 1-week notice period. I sent my resignation via email to the HR Manager, stating that I would be leaving the organization after 1 week and requesting a handover. In response, he scheduled a meeting where he pressured and threatened me, stating that he would ruin my career. In reply, I proposed that during the notice period, I would work from home without receiving any salary from the organization. However, he refused, stating that he was not willing to agree to those terms and would not provide me with a relieving letter or any experience letter.
Now, I seek advice on whether there is any way for them to issue me a relieving letter or process my Full and Final (FNF) settlement. I also have one month's salary pending with them.
I kindly request that no one pass judgment on my actions. I am aware of my decisions, and we cannot change the past. I simply seek your assistance and suggestions.

Notice Period and Legal Rights
Irrespective of the reason (whether bad or good politics), you are supposed to serve the notice period as per your letter of appointment. In the absence of such, the company can withhold your dues and refuse to accept the charges. The HR pressurizing and threatening you is also illegal, and you can lodge a formal complaint (even at the police station) if you want to. Your option of "working from home without salary" does not make any sense from a legal point of view, and the company has rightly rejected your offer. My issue is that I have no emails or recordings in which he threatened me that he would ruin my career. The only thing I want to understand is when an organization fires an employee, they don't give them a notice period or any prior notification. But in the case of an employee leaving, the organization expects the employee to serve the full notice period. The very next day after I left the organization, they fired an employee and gave him 2 months' salary. I wonder why, in this case, they gave him 2 months' notice.
