Dear management, how can I take steps against someone cheating on a social site such as Facebook? A guy from Facebook said he has a modeling opportunity for freshers, forwarded details for a shoot, and sent me his own ID proofs, stating that he is an event manager and charges 15k for registration. I did not pay him the full amount as I had doubts about him. I transferred 5k to his given account number. After receiving payment, he stopped the conversation from his side and is now not responding to calls and messages. How can I get my money back? I am not sure whether the details and ID proofs he sent are original or fake. Please let me know if you need any further information.

Before paying some unknown person on Facebook, what steps did you take to verify details? Write to Facebook and try to find out the IP address and further details or ask civil police to intervene. But understand that your carelessness has cost you Rs. 5000.
