Hi, I joined a private organization as an HR Executive. My company has a pan India presence, so my boss asked me to prepare a checklist that contains the due dates for returns (annual, half-yearly, and quarterly) and the applicability criteria for all states. Please help me by sharing the details.

First of all, you have not mentioned the nature of the organization. Is it under the Shops Act or Factory Act? You may need to prepare a checklist including ESI, PF, PT, Gratuity, Shops & Commercial Establishment Act, Factories Act, Municipal Act, etc., and file the returns accordingly.

In Bangalore, PT requires monthly and annual returns. ESI and PF have monthly returns across India. Municipal registration and renewal are annual tasks. Under the Shops Act, annual returns are necessary.
