Impact of Study Leave on Calculating Total Work Experience: HR Insights - CiteHR

Dear all,

Please help me in resolving this query. One of my friends was working as an engineer in a plant from Dec 2006 to Aug 2008. In between, he had taken study leave for 1 year. Now he has nearly 8 years of experience, but if he includes this study leave period, then it comes to 9 years.

Should he include this period in his experience or not?

Thank you.
