Clarifications Needed for Form 19 and 10C for P.F. Settlement
I need some clarifications regarding Form 19 and 10C for P.F. settlement purposes.
1) If we are taking a printout of these forms, is there any compulsion to print them back-to-back, i.e., on both sides of a sheet? I read somewhere that it is mandatory to do so. Can somebody confirm this?
2) How do we cancel a cheque? Can we simply cross the cheque and write "Cancelled" on it, or do we need to do anything else?
3) Do we need to sign the cheque before cancelling it?
It would be very helpful if someone could answer my queries.
Thanks in Advance,
Regards,

You can take a printout either back to back or on different sheets. There is no such compulsion. You need not sign on the cheque, just draw two parallel lines and in between mention as cancelled.
The PF department will ask for a cancelled cheque to make sure the fund reaches the correct account. The cheque will contain all the necessary information like IFSC code, account number, etc., which will help in transferring the funds online.
