Dear all, I am working in a construction company in Pune. I wanted to create a proper salary structure for the company employees. Please provide a good salary structure with the percentage and CTC. Additionally, if I could get an HR Manual for a construction company, it would be an additional help.
Although I have searched through numerous discussions regarding HR manuals and salary structures, and many formats are available, I am still confused about the percentage of salary heads and policies applicable by law.
Please help. It's urgent.
Thank you!
Regards,

Challenges in Salary Rationalization in India
In India, making salary rationalization according to grade is a huge task. This is because of a shortage of skilled manpower. When employers try to hire skilled candidates, the candidates start negotiating, creating an imbalance. Additionally, there is a problem of manpower attrition. Often, when projects are about to start, people are hastily hired without considering the salary structure. Another factor that disrupts the salary structure is the whimsical selection of employees by top management, especially in your industry.
Understanding HR Manual Requirements
Regarding the HR Manual, I need to understand your specific requirements. HR Manuals can vary significantly between companies, even within the same industry. While the value of an HR Manual should not be underestimated, there are larger issues that HR professionals need to address. Please call me on my mobile, and I can explain what should take priority over the HR Manual.
Thanks,

You are absolutely right, Dinesh. Thanks a lot for your response. I wanted policies like Leave Policy (for site and office employees), Recruitment Policy, Salary and Wages Policy, Termination, Promotion, General Code of Conduct, etc., for a construction company. I shall call you for more guidance and explanation.
Thanks a lot!!!
