I am Meenu. I was teaching in a CBSE board-affiliated school, but the school did not provide me with an appointment or offer letter upon joining. After the demo and interview, they verbally offered me the job, and I taught there for the last 2 years. However, I have now resigned and joined another school. In my current school, they are requesting an experience certificate and relieving letter from my previous school. I have submitted an application for these certificates, but the school principal has refused to provide them, citing that I was on an ad-hoc basis, and therefore, they will not issue these certificates.

Sorry to note your predicament. I am amazed to keep coming across such posts at CiteHR. Did they pay you in cash, or do you have any payslips, etc., to prove that you were working there?
Let this be a lesson to others not to keep working for an organization without an appointment and/or offer letters and also only for cash payments. I know due to personal circumstances people join jobs and then face these difficulties. I am sure experts will answer your query.
