Hi All, I am working in one of the engineering service-providing companies in Vadodara, Gujarat, and am in need of some help in preparing a Leave Policy. If anyone can guide me on which registers need to be maintained under the Shop & Establishment Act, I would be very thankful.

First of all, it is largely a state subject (rules of Gujarat). Yet, the minimum is 9 days of national and festival holidays you have to declare. Normally, Form XVII speaks of details of salary. Buy the local Shops and Establishment Act book with rules as well as the state rules of the Factories Act. That would guide you better.
