We have a new joiner in Client Servicing. In her resume, it is mentioned that she is a graduate, but she doesn't have any educational certificates to submit, not even a xerox. It's been 3 weeks since her joining. We don't know what to do in this situation. She is not willing to get a duplicate copy from the University. She has left it up to us to take a decision. We have recruited her through a placement agency. Though her work is satisfactory for now, how shall we proceed? We are a small organization of about 25 people.

Evaluating Employee Qualifications: Graduate vs. Non-Graduate
It so happens that at times even a graduate cannot give you the satisfaction that a non-graduate or undergraduate can provide. If your company's policy is to recruit only graduates, then why was the due diligence not done before recruiting her? If it is not going to cause any problem later on for her and the company, you might as well retain her. She is working to your satisfaction, and that is what you want.
You have to inform her that her increments, promotions, and other benefits will suffer because she cannot provide the graduation documents.
