Hi everyone, good day! I was searching for HR communities for the past few days, and luckily, today I found it. A big thanks to the person who introduced this site.
My Journey from Business Analyst to IT Recruiter
Basically, I'm a B.E. graduate, but my passion is HR. Initially, as a fresher, I didn't find many opportunities for HR in IT companies. However, I landed a Business Analyst role in a software company, so I continued with that. I also had the thought of pursuing an MBA in HR simultaneously. Later on, I realized that if I start searching for an HR role after completing my MBA, I would still be considered a fresher, albeit with good experience as a business analyst, making it challenging for me to reach my desired role. Based on this understanding, I began searching for an HR role and eventually secured a position as a US IT Recruiter in a reputable consultancy. Now, with 5 months of experience as a business analyst, I am transitioning to a new company as an IT Recruiter.
Seeking Advice on Transitioning to an HR Role
My concern is whether a person with IT recruitment experience can enter a software company in an HR role. Could you please clarify this for me?

As per your above post, you are working in an IT company as a recruiter. This is good for you to start an HR career, but involve yourself in other HR tasks as well. Gain knowledge about PMS, T&D, manpower planning, and employee engagement activities so that if any opportunity arises, you can seize it.
Having a clear understanding of other HR activities is essential if you aim to enter the HR field. Attend seminars or training programs related to HR to enhance your skills.
Cite HR is a hub of knowledge where you can find everything related to HR that you wish to learn.
