We are a manufacturing unit with operations across Pan India and abroad. Our Corporate office is based in Kolkata, housed in an eight-story building wholly owned by the Company. The Management is currently planning to open a canteen for its staff. We have already applied for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Fire Department. We would like to inquire if we also require a Fire License from the Fire & Emergency Services Department, Government of West Bengal. Your valuable advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Fire Safety Requirements for an 8-Story Building

If it is an 8-story building, fire-fighting arrangements must be in place, and the installed system must be approved by TAC (Tariff Advisory Committee).

For fire safety regulations, please refer to the bylaws.

canteen means, cooking and use of LPG will be there. You have to get approval. I think pollution control board clearance may also be required. Pon
