Understanding Fire NOC for Manufacturing Companies
We are a medium-sized manufacturing company located in Chakan, Pune, with a workforce of around 100 employees. Can somebody help me understand what a Fire NOC is? From where can I obtain the same? Which Act pertains to the Fire NOC?

The Fire NOC is nothing but the license that your unit needs to obtain from the fire department (fire station) every year. You need to submit the filled application along with drawings that show the fire protection system to obtain the license.

In Maharashtra, the Fire NOC is granted by MIDC. Please contact the MIDC Fire Brigade office located behind Hotel Lemon, in front of Infosys at Hingwadi. They will accept your application, and after a detailed site visit, you are likely to receive the NOC from their Mumbai office. A Fire NOC is a must for all manufacturing units functioning within the MIDC area in Pune.
