Should I presume that the incident was not an employment accident? Consider whether any other suitable job befitting her present physical challenge could be provided to her by your management. If not possible, obtain a letter from her clearly explaining her distress and asking for appropriate financial assistance. Submit it to your management with your endorsement. Let your endorsement be brief and based on humanitarian consideration.
