I am working as a management trainee in a manufacturing company under contract. My manager told me that after the completion of one year, they would confirm my position. However, things are not going well for me as my senior executives have made me the office boy. Now, I want to leave the company. I spoke with the manager about the tasks given by the senior executives, but nothing has changed. I want to leave the company with contract experience. Some of my friends are saying that with contract experience, I will not get good opportunities. I am not sure what I should do now.

Regards

It is advisable to search for a new job first and then leave the existing one. Regarding your query about your friend saying that you will not get good opportunities with contract experience, it is just a myth. A knowledgeable person can find good opportunities even without any experience. Ask your friend whether they are of the opinion that freshers will never get good opportunities.

I would suggest you leave the job if you don't have any financial problems. It's because whatever you learn there becomes your experience. Not receiving any experience letter will just impact your pay, i.e., you will get less than what you expected. But good experience matters a lot; that will definitely propel you upwards.

To be frank, "Jis Kaam me Maan nahi lagata vo kabhi karana nahi chahiye..." (One should never do a job they are not interested in...)

I am sure if you have the knowledge, you will get a good job; just don't lose confidence.
