I was working with an organization for 7 years, but then I left and joined another organization. After 2 months, I applied for the withdrawal of my Provident Fund amount. However, my application got rejected. The probable reason I assume is that I had not changed my name after marriage in the PF accounts. However, I had attached an application and an affidavit for the change of my name along with the withdrawal application form.
Can anyone please suggest the next step and how I can proceed further?
Thanks

Dear Sir,
I was working in a private Polytechnic in Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu between 1984 and 2006 and opted for Voluntary Retirement. My PPO No. 100125, [name] Swamidhason Francis; now I'm getting Rs. 700/- as a monthly pension although my basic salary in 2006 was Rs. 13,000/-.
I have two queries:
[1] Will the increase in the rate of PF interest cause any increase in my monthly pension?
[2] I was 50 years old when I left service in 2006; will my EPF pension amount increase after I become 58 in 2014?
Thanks,
Swamidhason

Dear Group,
What would be the effective date for a company to become eligible to award PF benefits to its employees? The PF Laws state that once the number of employees crosses 20, the establishment is required to award PF benefits and comply with the EPF Act. In our case, the first employee of the company joined in August 2012, and until July 2013, the strength was less than 20. Our 21st employee joined at the end of July 2013, and therefore the company applied for PF registration in August and obtained registration in September. The PF dues were calculated from July 2013 and paid before the PF authority as per the rules. However, now the PF authorities have asked us to pay the dues from August 2012. Is the notice issued by the PF authority in line with the applicable provisions under the EPF Act, and is our company required to pay PF benefits from August 2012 when the employee strength was less than 20 until July 2013? Please guide me so that an appropriate decision can be made.
Thanks,
Manoj
