We are registered with EPFO in Bangalore, Karnataka for the past 15 years. Coverage includes all our branch employees in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Delhi. We are closing down our office in Bangalore. Hence:

Whether we have to register with EPFO in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Delhi and apply for the transfer of accounts to the respective branches?

Notes:
1) The number of staff in all these 3 branches is less than 20.
2) All our employees' salaries are above the wage cap of Rs. 6,500 per month.

Please suggest the best possible solution for our query.

Dear Member,

Firstly, the company has to decide on one location (Mumbai, Ahmedabad, or Delhi) and then apply for the PF number. The PF number varies from state to state. The company will create a new PF account number for all employees. There are two options:

(i) The employee can withdraw all his/her amount deposited in the PF account in Bangalore.
(ii) The employee can transfer his/her PF amount to the new PF account number.

If you are already registered with EPFO in Bangalore and your head office is in Bangalore, you don't need to obtain another PF number for your branches in Mumbai, Delhi, etc. You can submit all employees' PF contributions in Bangalore itself. Registration in ESIC is required for every location, not in PF. For PF contributions, you can submit them from where you are registered.
