Hi,

I had an interview with an MNC company on 20th Nov. I received the offer on 2nd Dec. After that, HR told me, "Don't submit your resignation until you have completed the medical check-up." About 4-5 days later, they contacted me for the medical check-up. I completed my medical check-up on 16 Dec. On 24th Dec, HR contacted me again to inquire about the status of the medical check-up. I informed them that I had completed it on a specific date. Since then, there has been no further communication.

Should I follow up with them or wait for some time? I am a bit confused.

Hi,

You can wait for a week because they have to get the report from the medical center. It's a huge process, but I am not sure why they are taking such a long time. Anyways, don't hand in your resignation until they confirm with you.

By whom is the pre-employment medical check-up organized? If it was organized by the company through their empaneled hospitals, then they will obtain the reports directly from the hospital, and you can wait for their intimation that you are fit for employment.

If you got it done on your own, then you have to send your fitment report to them, and they will cross-check it with their internal doctors/consultants.

Hi,

One of my friends went through this process. It will take a week's time to generate the report from the hospital, which will be directly sent to the concerned person of the company within 10 to 12 days. After verifying it, they will confirm if the offer is still on or not.
