The holidays (national & festival) can be derived from the list of holidays prescribed by the State or central government, depending on the discretion of the employer. No list of holidays will be circulated sector-wise. The national holidays are fixed, and you can choose festival holidays depending on the stature of your employees. A minimum of 9 days (4 national fixed and 5 flexible festival holidays) has to be given. The Tamil Nadu government list of holidays for 2014 attached is for your reference.
