Navigating Resignation and Employment Bond: HR Communication and Employee Rights - CiteHR

Anonymous
I am basically from Hyderabad and joined in Jaipur. I signed a bond for 2 years on 24th September 2012. Now, I have resigned, citing a genuine reason that my father is sick, and I attached the medical records of my father. I mentioned 3rd October 2013 as the last date. The HR sent me an email regarding my bond to my personal email ID, but I replied with an explanation of my father's illness and status. However, I have not received any response to my official email ID to date.

Is my resignation deemed as accepted?

Service Agreements and Bonds: Key Considerations

It is very common to have a service agreement signed these days to curb attrition. However, the viability of the bond will depend on various factors.

Consequences of Breaking a Bond

You mentioned signing a 2-year bond, so what are the consequences of breaking the bond? What are your dues if you leave before 2 years? What does the company owe you if they terminate you before 2 years? What does your separation policy entail?

Training and Communication

Did they provide you with any training materials? Classroom or practical training? Before emailing your resignation, did you discuss it with your superior/manager/HR?

HR Communication

What does the email from HR on your personal account say?
