Understanding Leave Policies and Regulations for Weekends and Leaves - Shop Act & Factorys Act - CiteHR

I would like to know if we should consider Saturday and Sunday as leave if an employee takes sick or earned leave on Friday and Monday. What do the Shop Act and Factory's Act say regarding the same?

Dear Subhra,

Yes, you must consider Saturday and Sunday as earned leave since the leave taken falls in a series. However, much depends on every company's leave policies.
