Hello Seniors,

Please help me. I want to work in a manufacturing company, but whenever I go to an interview, everyone asks about experience. But where can I get experience from? Please suggest some companies where I can gain vast experience and develop myself.

Apply for those jobs which require freshers, not the ones that require experience. Just keep on trying and don't let your passion down. Surely, you will soon get a job in manufacturing.

All the best...

I have completed my MBA in HR last year, and since then, I have been working. Initially, I was working in a construction company, but I couldn't gain much experience there. Currently, I have been working in a consultancy for the past 4 months.

Now you are looking for an opportunity to work. Don't look for a particular (Manufacturing) company to start your career. Prepare your resume effectively with your strengths and upload your resume to all job portals. You will find a lot of openings. If you get one, accept the job offer even if it is a small company with less salary. Gain some experience. After that, opportunities will come back to you.

All the best.

Well, everyone is a fresher before gaining experience. It may be challenging to secure a job as a fresher, but I would suggest checking for openings specifically for freshers and applying to those positions. Additionally, update your resume on various job portals, highlighting your status as a fresher and providing all the necessary details. This approach can certainly assist you in landing your first job and kickstarting your career with valuable experience.

So, do you believe you can gain good work experience with a Manufacturing Company? What were your roles and responsibilities at the said Construction Company? If you wished to work in a specific industry, why did you join a Consultancy? These things are highlighting what is actually bothering you here.

I second Roopa Nagaraju; you must not look for industry-specific roles but a good job that will provide you with valuable experience and a professional life. One more thing to remember is that until you try to learn or initiate, you can't gain experience or learn anything.

You mentioned that you worked with a Construction company for almost a year and expressed here that you did not gain any work experience. This needs more clarity; please explain it further.

Lastly, you should consider applying for entry-level positions or trainee roles while keeping in mind that you have to learn sincerely.
