I am working in an insurance company in telesales as a Team Leader. I completed my MBA in HR in November 2012. Due to the hectic working hours and my current profile, I haven't had time to find a job in HR. However, as I want to pursue a career in HR, I have been actively searching for HR roles for the past month but have not found any yet. I find it challenging to make time for interviews.

Opportunity for HR Executive Position

Recently, I was offered an opportunity for an HR executive position in a hospital. The HR manager mentioned that she would observe me for the first 15 days (3 days have already passed), and if she is satisfied, she will offer me the job. Unfortunately, my current boss will not grant me 15 days of leave. Should I resign to pursue this opportunity?

If you are confident about your performance and clear about the parameters the HR manager will observe you on, then you can take a risk. Talk to the HR manager and ask more about the observation period and the selection criteria. Ask how many positions they would like to fill out of the four people (including you) under observation. If there are four positions available, then you may take a risk.

If you want to be on the safer side, put in a little more effort into searching for another suitable job. The decision is yours!
