Hi All, Hope everyone is doing well! I have a query described below. I would highly appreciate it if anyone could help me out with this.
Salary Concerns and Proposed Solution
My salary is very low compared to my work experience and market standard. When I brought this to my manager's notice, he and the HR team came up with a solution. As they could not provide a significant internal raise, they proposed a DIP (Deferred Income Plan). In this plan, they agreed to pay me a substantial amount, let's say 1.2 lac. They would break this amount into payments every 4 months, giving me 40k in each cycle.
Future Implications of DIP on Salary
I am concerned about whether, in the future, if I switch to another organization, they would consider the above amount of 1.2 lac and provide a raise on my total salary, i.e., my CTC + DIP.
Thanks in advance for your valuable time and feedback.
Thanks,
Ashish

Dear your current organisation should consider this amount as a part of your CTC and they should write when you leave the organisation

[QUOTE=malikjs;2082231] Dear J S Malik,
Thanks for your valuable feedback. However, my organization is not willing to consider this amount as a part of my CTC. They will provide a letter confirming that I have been receiving the mentioned amount, which will also be reflected in my salary slip.
I am curious if other organizations would still recognize and factor in this amount for a potential salary increase.
Thank you,
Ashish

Understanding Deferred Income Plans and CTC
When your company is ready to issue a letter for the DIP you are receiving, and the amount is reflected in the salary slip, it is understood by the future joining company that it is part of your CTC. For example, there are a few components which a company provides to its employees that are not shown in the salary slips, such as a car, driver, accommodation, etc. However, a letter stating the perks given during the course of employment is sufficient to be considered as part of the CTC for the future company.
