My company works in Andhra Pradesh with a contractor from Tamil Nadu. He was called the Tamil Nadu competent person for the inspection of lifting equipment. The Tamil Nadu government competent person issued a load test certificate. Is it valid in Andhra Pradesh or not?

If the work is ongoing in Andhra Pradesh (AP), then ideally, the certifying agency should also be from AP. The test of legal validity of the certificate arises in case of an accident. The best course of action for you is to make a photocopy of the certificate and present it to the labor officer in your area. Inquire about its validity. If the labor officer does not approve the certificate issued by the agency in TN, then request a fresh certificate from an agency in AP.

Ok...

There are central govt accredited third party agencies are available and the test certificates issued by them are applicable/acceptable in the entire Union of India. Pon
