To understand the difference between the Labour Court and the Industrial Court or Tribunals, you need to refer to Section 7 of the ID Act.

Labour Court vs. Industrial Court

The Labour Court adjudicates industrial disputes relating to matters specified in the 2nd schedule, whereas the Industrial Court adjudicates industrial disputes relating to any matter specified in the 2nd or 3rd schedule.

There are differences in the criteria for appointing the presiding officer of the Labour Court and the Industrial Court regarding qualifications and experience.

Regards.
