I have resigned from my company and did not serve the total notice period. The total notice period is 3 months (90 days), but I only served 5 days. I am ready to pay for the remaining days. Could you please confirm what amount I have to pay? Is it the basic salary only, or should I also consider other allowances?

Eligibility for Variable Pay

Regarding the variable pay that is usually given at the end of the year (from May to May), I joined the company in May and resigned in February. Am I still eligible for the variable pay?

Your suggestions on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Bipin

Notice Pay Deduction

Notice pay is typically deducted in all industries based on the basic salary. However, some companies deduct this based on the gross salary, so it depends on their policy.

Variable Pay Eligibility

All yearly compensation will be calculated based on your working days, making you eligible for that variable pay.

Understanding Payment in Lieu of Notice Period

See what is mentioned in your appointment letter or HR policy on wages to be paid in lieu of the notice period. If anything is specified, ensure that the same is paid. Otherwise, basic pay plus DA is considered as wages. There is no specific law governing this issue.
