Hi Team,
I have a query related to internship and employment. I was under an internship, and the offer letter for the same stated that the company, on successful completion of the said internship, will provide employment. However, due to some incident, I was terminated from that internship, and in that case, I was not an employee of the company. However, I was handed a termination letter which should not have been given.
In addition to this, during the internship, deductions from my stipend under Group Insurance and PF were also made as if I was an employee. I am not sure if I can file a court case against the company on these grounds.

Dear Vishal ji,
You can file a case against the company, and you may win it as well. But consider what you will achieve from it. You will have to spend your precious time, energy, and money on it. Moreover, the mental unrest will bring you down every day.
You have grounds to fight on one or two lapses by the company.

Dear Korgaonkar,
It is not just a matter of being terminated from the job, and I do not have any problem filing a case.
It was a job after an education program, and the internship was part of the same for which a bond was signed, and a loan was provided. Due to this, my money went in vain as I cannot get the certificate from the educational institute because of this happening during the internship time. Also, it put me under immense mental trauma by telling me that I cannot access my things only on oral instruction from the HR, with nothing being communicated to me in writing until my last day. For a week, I went to the office and was doing nothing with a fear of losing the job and that too without even getting the certificate for which I paid Rs. 3 Lacs.
Can I not sue the company for putting me in a state of such mental trauma that everyone was asking questions why I am in a different office and that too without any work for the whole week? Can I also ask for compensation for this?
Are these the valid grounds on which I can file a case because my parents are asking to get various details that will be required for it.
Thanks for the inputs though.

Dear Member,
The information provided by you seems to be incomplete. For instance:
1. Why were you terminated by the company?
2. You signed a bond of Rs. 3 lakh with whom?
3. Have you completed the internship period?
As you are not shedding any light on the situation regarding why the company decided to terminate an intern, it is very difficult to suggest whether you should file a case against the company. Please share all the details truthfully so that other members of this forum can provide you with proper guidance.

Dear Vishal ji,
As I said, you can file a case against the company. You have grounds to fight. You need to approach a good advocate with all the documents. Do not hide anything from the advocate. This forum, according to me, advises you not more than this. Any advice on the issue of law is not appropriate to comment on without seeing/reading (in between the lines) all the documents.
