Hi, I am working in the private sector and want to introduce a contributory pension scheme in our organization. Can anyone shed some light on what it's all about and what will be the company's and employees' liabilities? Also, how should we go about it?

As of today, in India, LIC is considered the best fund manager for pensions. They have been doing a commendable job for many years. While returns may be slightly lower, the options they offer are very good. I do not intend to underestimate other players, but they have yet to prove themselves in India.

Hello,

As per last year's IRDA ruling, the old superannuation plans are no longer adding new members. IRDA has asked insurance companies to change a few things and launch new superannuation products before they can accept new members. I'm not sure if insurance companies have launched new products. If you need more information, email me at ravi.shekhar(at)milliman.com.

Thanks,
Ravi

As per IRDA norms, there is no new superannuation policy given to any organization after 1st April 2012. Any information needed for LIC Superannuation Scheme, kindly contact Rajesh.Prajapati@Licindia.com.
