Hi All,

I would like to know how to approach questions like:

1) Tell us something about yourself?
2) Give an example of an incident where you had to take a risk? (when you have no such experience to share)
3) Do you smoke/drink?

Hi Rainbow,

I would like to know how to approach questions like:

1) Tell us something about yourself?

2) Give an example of an incident where you had to take a risk (when you have no such experience to share).

3) Do you smoke/drink?

1. Plan the answer in the following manner/sequence which should be covered in 3 minutes:

- Family members and their respective professions.

- Your brief in terms of schools and colleges, Post Graduate attended.

- Professional career path in terms of companies worked, starting from the first till the present one.

2. Give an example of a risk taken. Think hard; I am sure we all have taken risks at some point in our lives, both personally and professionally. Think aloud about your past.

3. Smoke/drink. Be honest about it if you do. They are testing you on your integrity.

More than the above, if you really want to crack the interview and make sure you are selected, then prepare the questions (which they would ask at the end of interviews - Do you have any questions to ask us?). This is most critical and important, showing your preparedness, intent, and depth of your thought process. Since this is the last question of the interview, it can leave a favorable impression on the interviewers to assess whether you are to be selected or not.

Good luck and best wishes.

Cheers,

Rajat
