Dear team, I understand that grinding (Abrasive) discs come with an expiry date. However, I noticed that there is no expiry date displayed on the cutting discs. Is it not necessary? If not, why is that the case? Please share your knowledge.

Thank you.

Really, this topic is getting interesting for me. I had a chat with a lot of seniors regarding the above-mentioned subject; all of them advised me to contact the manufacturer instead of giving an answer. It surprises me. I wrote to the manufacturers but didn't get any response from them. I think due to Christmas holidays, they are not online. Anyhow, I will wait until the new year. If I don't have any response from them, I will call them directly and raise our question. Email is the better way to communicate because, for queries like this, they may not provide the appropriate answer over the phone as expected. However, through email, they should give the appropriate answer. I hope some of our seniors will help us to find a solution to this matter.

Thanks in advance.

Discussion with BOSCH Technical Team

I had a very good discussion with the BOSCH technical team regarding the above-mentioned subject. I had sent some pictures to BOSCH, which I downloaded from the internet, but they do not show the expiration date (See the attached).

Below is the reply that I received from the manufacturer. My understanding was that every cutting/grinding disc should have a validity.

Reply from BOSCH:

"Our Bosch product does, in fact, have the expiration date embossed in the center of the wheel. I understand that it's very difficult to see in the picture. When I enlarged the photo you sent, the date is pressed into the center white ring at about a 2:00 position."
