Hi Shelly,

Can you please clarify a little more about the Amount and Actuals? I mean, what is the difference in the amount between the two (Is it because of only 18 working days)? Also, what about the ESI deduction in the Deduction column? Is it that you have not added because the total is more than Rs 10,000? Additionally, please mention which is the gross amount so that it will be clearer for the employees.

Dear Shelly,

Please incorporate:

1. PF No. and EPS No. (if separate)
2. Net Pay in Words
3. If the payment is by way of Cheque or Cash then?
4. No need for Date of Joining
5. No need to give standard rates of Employees except Basic Rate
6. Date of printing Payslip
7. Transfer details of salary such as bank and date of Payment
8. Opening balance of Leaves, leaves availed (Already taken care of by you), balance leaves (This will take care of the Factory Act - You have to take exemption against compliance)
9. If employees are placed at Multi-location then Location
10. You can also provide payroll - HelpDesk Nos. for any queries from employees
11. Decision on Pre-printed, etc.

There is no standard format. My reply is based on my experience in this field.

Hi,

Yes, you need to mention ESI and PF numbers, and I would suggest you mention how many days of pay are being deducted for any employee due to absenteeism, instead of stating how many days they were present. This approach will help them understand the situation better.

Hi Shelly,

Your format is good, but there are some unwanted elements. You may choose the format that is used in my company, which is attached here. I hope this meets your requirements. If not, you can write an email to me.

Have a great day.

Hi Everyone,

I have gone through all the payslips that you all have posted. Thank you for the same. However, I am sorry to say that none of them served my needs. All samples look like a typical receipt kind of template. I am looking for a payslip format that looks more like a letter, simple yet elegant.

Any help on this would be highly appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,
Pawan Kumar
