Dear Vijay, Thanks for sharing. The synthetic web slings are used to lift a load of about 400 tons. They have replaced the wire ropes and are easy to use. I have investigated an accident where property damage was up to Rs. 10.0 Crore while lifting equipment of 300 tons. The root cause was "the cut and abrasion-proof sleeves were not used, thereby the slings got cut because of friction, and the job fell down from a height of 5 feet.
