Dear All, Can you please help me out? Is there any age limit to recruit an employee to the firm? I know about the Child Labor Act and all, but my question is: if a person who works in a government company or office and who is retired and receiving a pension also, the same person if he joins a new company, can we consider that person to be under ESI applicability?

Thanks & Regards, Nishant.

There is no age limit as per law. However, if company policy restricts, you may not recruit. There is no age limit in the ESIC Act for coverage/benefits. Accordingly, he would get benefits as long as he contributes.
