As per the Factories Act, certain items are listed to be maintained in the OHC. Additionally, the availability of a Medical Officer and a Compounder throughout the working shift is required.

Clarification Needed

Kindly clarify whether these requirements are applicable to all industries based on the number of workers or if it depends on the nature of the industry, whether hazardous or non-hazardous.

As per my knowledge, all factories come under the governance of the Factories Act. They have to comply with all the applicable requirements of the Occupational Health Centre (OHC), Medical Officer, and all other requirements as per Chapter III and subsequent state rules. I think it is mainly based on the workers engaged in the factory.

Regards.
