Modes of Recovery of Money Due from an Employer
Both are modes of recovery of money due from an employer. When the money due is a sum arrived at as per settlement or there exists no dispute regarding the computation of the amount, the amount can be recovered by means of revenue recovery proceedings initiated by the appropriate authority, i.e., the Labour Officer or the Labour Commissioner, as the case may be. At the same time, if the amount is disputed, the same is recovered with the intervention of the Labor Court, covered by Section 33C(2) of the ID Act.
