Dear All, Please inform me whether an experience and relieving letter can be issued together. Many companies are promoting this practice by combining the experience and relieving letters. Could you please confirm if it is valid and legal to merge the experience letter with the relieving letter? Additionally, kindly provide me with the format for an experience-cum-relieving letter.

Hi Sneha Yes. That is possible. There are many organisations clubbing both together and issuing both as single letter.

Hi Sneha,

It is purely a company policy and is not mandated by any statutory law. It is solely at the company's discretion to combine both and issue them. Please note that the relevance and importance of the document remain the same as if they were issued separately. Just ensure that the Date of Joining (DOJ), Last Working Day (LWD), and your Key Result Areas (KRA) are mentioned in it; if they are, it serves the purpose.

I am enclosing one for your reference. The document should be printed on the company's letterhead.

Regards,
Hiral
