Hi Prashant, could you please enlighten me on the role of an HR Generalist? I would like to understand whether I should focus on finding a specific profile for this role or explore other functions within HR, such as recruitment or compensation. Your insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

The role of an HR generalist encompasses all HR activities. Depending on the maturity of the organization, it can vary from OD activities to operations. For instance, in a mature organization, as an HR generalist, your portfolio might include OD, training planning, and strategic planning. However, in less mature organizations, the role might become more operational, such as running payroll cycles and ensuring data integrity.

Anagha
