Important Update for Taxpayers
In this Assessment Year 2011-2012, the Income Tax Department has introduced the new ITR-I (SAHAJ) in a PDF file, which must be colored. Various criteria exist for this new SAHAJ Form in a PDF File. This PDF Format has a BAR CODE on every page at the top, the paper size must be A4, the font name is Helvetica, and there are specific margins on both sides in the PDF file. It is quite challenging to prepare and input the data through the database/computer, where many organizations/people prefer to use the database or computer.
However, I have prepared and converted the PDF File into Excel Format. But I am not sure if this Excel Format is acceptable by the Tax Department or not. Also, the font "Helvetica" is a unique font (actually, it is a German font) and is not available in our computer fonts, but it appears similar to the PDF file.
I have attached herewith the SAHAJ in Excel Format, which automatically calculates the Income Tax.
