Eligibility for Earned Leave

To become eligible for availing earned leave, an employee should have worked for a minimum of 240 days in a calendar year. If an employee joins during the middle of the year, how many days should he have worked to become eligible for availing earned leave during the next year?

If an employee joins in the 6th month of 2010, he needs to work until the 6th month of 2011 to become eligible to avail Earned Leave (EL). So, EL for the year 2011 for him is 6 days, and for 2012, it is 12 days, and so on...
