Dear Members,

We frequently encounter employees who abscond from their jobs in our company. Can anybody suggest a way to address this issue? Is there a method to prevent the future employment of such individuals in other companies or to identify them as absconders?

I appreciate all the valuable insights from the seniors. I look forward to prompt responses on this matter.

Regards,
Ekta

Hi Ekta,

Are you working in a BPO or IT/ITES? The people who have left without any information are generally called absconding. Why do you want to blacklist them? Actually, the loopholes lie in our recruitment process, and there are some people who have to leave no matter what; they just won't stay in the company. So, it is the recruiter's responsibility to find out. Using psychometric tests, experience will teach you the difference between a bad and a good hire. Put your best efforts into retaining them, and if they don't, you really cannot do much, especially in BPOs.

There is a saying very popular in BPOs... The BPOs are mushrooming like anything in Delhi, NCR. And if an undergraduate starts working in BPOs and leaves his/her job every 3 months, they will reach the age of retirement... :)

Hope it works for you.
