Hi,
Could anyone help me in becoming familiar with the EPF scheme certificate? If a person is availing the certificate, then their pension fund amount shall not be withdrawn. Is it true? What are the benefits of availing this certificate? If someone is applying for the said certificate, can they withdraw their EPF amount? Please elaborate.

Dear Rana,
Form-11 is filled in order to certify that you were previously employed in an organization that is covered or not covered under EPF. Your total service period will help determine your eligibility for the pension scheme.
For further details, you may contact your enforcement officer.

At the time of a new employee joining a company, which form is filled out by the employee regarding EPF (whether PF is deducted or not) and for income tax purposes, which form is filled out by them? Can you provide information about EPF returns and which form should be submitted to the EPO when a new employee joins a company?

Dear Ritu,
An employee can have a scheme certificate if he/she has completed 10 years of service and has not reached the age of 50 years, and is not willing to withdraw the pension fund. Dear Mr. Shaikh,
Thank you for the information, but someone mentioned to me that there is no connection between the scheme certificate and years of service. Is this true?
If a person switches to another job after gaining 3 years of experience and does not wish to withdraw their EPS amount, is it possible to opt for a certificate in lieu of the EPS amount? Is this feasible when the individual has not completed 10 years of service?
In order to avail of the certificate, is continuous service required, or can it apply with a break of 2-3 months in service?
I would appreciate it if you could clarify my doubts.

Ritu

Dear Ms. Ritu,
For these matters, you need to delve deeper:
1. Years of service are not required.
2. If he/she doesn't withdraw the EPS amount, then he can opt for a certificate.
3. Continuous service is not required, but you have to merge your previous account with the new one.
I hope this information is helpful.
