Hi All,

I am working in a BPO in Delhi and in Feb 2010, I went to the UK for on-the-job training for 3 months. Due to this training, I entered into a bond with my employer for 2 years, or I need to pay 2 lakhs (INR).

Currently, I am unwell, and my doctor has advised bed rest. I am on unpaid leave due to my health condition. Therefore, I am considering leaving my current job and returning to Kolkata.

Please advise if I would be required to pay the remaining amount of the bond, which is 1 lakh, or if the bond becomes null and void in case of medical incapability to work.

Thank you for your inputs. Could someone advise on the legal aspects as well in case my employer refuses to take my situation into consideration? I would be looking forward to your advice.
