Dear Sir,

One of our employees resigned on 30.11.2010, and all his investments after 30.11.2010 – if we issue FORM 16 on 30.11.2010, can we consider his investments or not? If we issue FORM 16 after 31.03.2011, can we consider his investments or not? What is the FORM 16 Period Date: 01.04.2010 to 30.11.2010 or 01.04.2010 to 31.03.2011? Please explain with reasons.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

The period of Form 16 covers only the financial year and not the breakup period. It is essential to consider his investments. If he has not invested, he will obviously need to pay the remaining tax amount along with any penalties incurred.

With warm regards,

Regards
