I am working in a seasonal industry, specifically a sugar factory. I am wondering if there are any variations or exemptions in the leave policy because currently, our company provides 10 CL, 6 SL, and 14 EL. Is this legal? Kindly clarify this under the TN Shops and Establishments Act.

Dear Member,

When a sugar factory is covered under the Factories Act, 1948, why are you asking for leave details under the Shops & Establishment Act without specifying the name of the state? You must be aware that the Shops Act is a State Act.

Dear Member,

I do not know why you are referring to these sections regarding leaves. None of these sections have any relevance to leaves. What is the purpose of referring to these sections?

Please let me know the leave policy for the office staff of a private limited company situated in Mumbai, incorporated under the Companies Act 1956 and registered under the Bombay Shops and Establishment Act 1948. What should be the number of CL, SL, and PL for each staff.
