Dear All,

Please let me know the policy regarding leave reimbursement during the probation period. If an employee resigns during their probation period, will they receive reimbursement for their earned leaves or paid leave (PL)?

Thanks & Regards,
Shyam

Under normal policy, an employee becomes entitled to earned leave only after 12 months of service, whereas probation may be for a period of six months or a year. If it is for a year, then once he leaves after 12 months, he can encash it; otherwise not.

Hello,

I joined a central government Institute (covered by the rules of DoPT). I joined on 14 Jan 2014 and resigned on 27 Jan 2015. Even though the probation was not formally declared to be over (as mentioned to be 1 year), I spent more time than 12 months. Am I eligible to claim EL encashment?

Thanks.
