I would like to know how important the relieving letter is for hiring a new employee. Is it necessary for the prospective employee to provide the relieving letter? What happens if they are not able to provide the relieving letter or a letter of acceptance? Is there an alternative approach?

Thank you.

Hi,

A relieving letter is important at the time of accepting a new job because it helps us understand that the candidate is not committed to any other company and is a genuine employee of the previous company.
