A few days back, I attended a training session on Interview Handling Skills. It focused on how to conduct an interview, and the facilitator of the program was Mr. Dinesh Divekar. I appreciated the training program due to his simple and clear style of delivery, as well as his insightful approach. Initially, I was somewhat hesitant as I come from a sales background and thought the program might be HR-oriented. However, it turned out to be beneficial for everyone.
This training helped dispel many of my misconceptions about handling interviews. The highlight of the program was the discussion on calculating the cost of wrong or poor recruitment. Surprisingly, few participants had considered the expenses associated with recruitment. While sales professionals often discuss revenue generation, I gained a new perspective from this program.
