Hi,

I am currently pursuing a PGDBA with an elective in HR. Is a PGDBA equivalent to an MBA? Can I expect career growth with a PGDBA in the future? Additionally, which specific area in HR would be better for me, such as recruiting or payroll? If there are any other courses that complement a PGDBA, please let me know. I have been working as an associate in an MNC company for the past 8 months.

Thanks,
Rafi

Dear Rafi,

A PGDBA is equal to an MBA regardless of the specialization you choose. In fact, all IIMs offer only PGDBA programs, not MBAs. Please ensure, though, that the university is accredited by the appropriate accrediting body.

Sir,

PGDBA is equivalent to MBA. If you know, IIMs also award PGDBA instead of an MBA degree because the university is eligible to confer the degree. So, don't worry; it will help you. Many people pursue distance learning and benefit from it. Knowledge is essential with your diploma; just increase your knowledge because it will provide you with better future growth and opportunities.

Wishing you the best of luck.

Manish
