Hi Manish,

The question like that is based on one's personal choice or intention for choosing HR as a career. So it's up to the individual to decide on what basis it has been chosen.

My Views:

1. Personal choice or interest to get settled with less tension work in life which is not actually. ;-)
2. If one took HR as a career option, the competitors are fewer compared to Marketing and Accounts.
3. If one is not interested in any other field like Marketing or Accounting, or is weak in grasping the knowledge in those areas, it's better to be safe in HR.
4. Individual interest in being with employees and sharing joys and sorrows in a working environment if one is employed.
5. Individual interest in studying human behavior connected with group and organizational behavior.

Lots of points to add, Manish. Now you start adding further...!

Dear Manish,

I think it's about your own interest. If you are capable of handling others' problems and want to be happy in others' joy, I think HR is for you. It also matters which part of HR interests you the most, like recruitment, payroll management, training & development, etc.

But frankly speaking, if you want a profession that involves taking care of people, you can go for HR. It's like being a mother of a house who takes care of her family in thick and thin.
